Edwin Espinal

Capitanes de la Bahia (LDC) strengthened their roster with addition of Dominican small forward Edwin Espinal (198cm) for season 2024. Espinal played this summer at Immortals in LDC league in Dominican Republic. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In only one United Cup game just recently he recorded 3 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Latinbasket.com United Cup Superior All-Domestic Players Team. Espinal also played 10 games in LDC where just recently he averaged impressive 17.1ppg, 7.5rpg, 2.9apg, 1.6spg and 1.2bpg. He helped them to make it to the Dominican Republic LDC Superior final. Great season indeed as he was selected to Latinbasket.com Dominican Republic LDC Superior All-Defensive Team, League Player of the Week and Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic LDC Superior Second Team. The other team he played shortly was Brujos in Salvadorean Liga MB. In four games he had very remarkable stats: 19.3ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.0apg, 2.5spg and 1.5bpg. Another team he played briefly was Cupes (Santiago League). Espinal contributed to his team making it to the Dominican Republic LDC Superior final. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Latinbasket.com Dominican Republic LDC Superior All-Defensive Team, League Player of the Week and Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic LDC Superior Second Team.

He has played previously for three other teams: Los Prados, Los Pepines and La Calle. His team won Dominican Republic Santiago League Regular Season in 2019 and 2021.
